I have had a life-changing experience through music and being able to be a part of my students’ journey towards that experience would certainly be an honour. Tol this day, music is still where my heart is and doing what God wants to do through music is something that I would never stop striving for.

I believe there is no limit to what my students are capable of doing – I will always find a way to get my students to surprise themselves when they achieve what they thought they were incapable of doing. Hence, I started giving private guitar lessons at a young age of 15. When I was a teenager, I started noticing that many of my peers were interested to know more about the music that I played. As a young boy I would listen and play to everything that I could find in my dad’s CD collection. I started learning the guitar when I was nine years old. He would introduce me to many of his creations, but I was particularly interested in his music. I grew up surrounded by highly creative individuals. He takes great pleasure in unlocking the potential creativity in others, working with them to push past their perceived limitations and transforming weaknesses into strengths. Combining his extensive knowledge of technique and musical styles with his expertise in the areas of musical theory and aural recognition, Joshua is able to provide his students with a cohesive and logical view of the fretboard. He started teaching guitar and bass whilst still in high school and has worked with hundreds of students since. Joshua is both qualified and eager to grow the musical gifts of others. This love drove him to complete a Bachelor of Music from the Melbourne University Conservatorium of Music. A diverse musician, Joshua has played in Rock, Classical, Jazz/Big Band and Theatre contexts, reflecting his love for music. As a member of the Planetshakers band, he has had the opportunity to tour both domestically and internationally. Joshua is a bassist, guitarist and a keen music educator.
